Co-operation Networks
The University of Tartu has joined several regional and European cooperation networks to reinforce its international co-operation ties and to increase its international visibility.
The aim of co-operation networks is to represent the shared interests of their members and to serve as forums for exchanging ideas on matters related to higher education and research. Co-operation networks also facilitate the search for new partners and strengthen academic and cultural ties between universities. The networks function as a channel for efficient communication and foster the exchange of researchers, teaching staff and students.
Co-operation within the networks mainly manifests itself in regular meetings of working groups, in seminars and training sessions organised for members of the networks, in constant exchange of information and in consultations for agreeing on joint positions.
Participation in co-operation networks, such as the Guild and the Coimbra Group, has provided the University of Tartu with yet another solid opportunity to have an impact on the shaping of international research and higher education policies.
